From Paintings to Podcasts – Collecting Art Today
Chaired by Sacha Craddock
People collect art for a wealth of different reasons. The panel will explore the multi-faceted nature of contemporary art collecting ranging from corporate collections, collecting for private homes, film & video collections and large scale sculpture parks. Issues such as how to maintain and conserve contemporary art and design, how to develop a coherent collection, and how to begin your own collection will be discussed.
Sacha Craddock is an independent art critic and curator for Sadlers Wells and co-curator for Bloomberg Space. She is also a respected post graduate tutor, writes numerous articles and catalogue essays, gives public lectures and makes television appearances. Craddock serves in numerous consultative and official capacities, she is the Chair of New Contemporaries, chair of Braziers International Workshop, co-founder of Artschool Palestine and member of the Pubic Art Advisory Group for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The Design/Art Dynamic
Chaired by Marcus Fairs
Exploring the Art versus Design debate and the inspiring cross-fertilization of the two disciplines. Is it a love-hate relationship or a dynamic fusion/combination? The panel will discuss the topic giving the perspectives of practitioner, curator, gallerist and theorist.
Journalist and curator Marcus Fairs is one of the most influential and knowledgeable figures on the international architecture and design scene.
He is founder and editor-in-chief of online architecture and design magazine Dezeen (www.dezeen.com) - the world’s most respected design website, which gets over 500,000 visitors a month. Previously he founded architecture and design magazine Icon, which he edited from 2003 to 2006.

FORM:London is delighted to have the Courtauld Institute as a cultural partner for FORM:2008. To celebrate their 75th Anniversary MA students from The Courtauld Institute will be giving talks on select artworks on display at FORM:London.
